A twist on a spicy chicken wrap I used to love getting from McDonald’s. Using an airfryer or hot oven, tofu goes wonderfully crispy.

Good for you!
So you’re trying to be healthy and you want to make a wrap, but you don’t want to sacrifice the crispy goodness of fried chicken. Fear not, my health-conscious friends, because crispy tofu is here to save the day (and your waistline).
Now, I know what you’re thinking. Tofu? In a wrap? But trust me, crispy tofu is delicious, and it’s a great substitute for crispy chicken. Plus, it’s plant-based, which means it’s good for the environment and all those cute little animals we’re trying to save.
Tofu is a versatile and nutritious food that has been a staple of Asian diets for centuries. Made from soybeans, tofu is a plant-based source of protein that is low in calories and high in nutrients. Here are some of the benefits of adding tofu to your diet:
- High in protein: Tofu is a great source of plant-based protein, containing around 10 grams of protein per 100 grams. This makes it an excellent choice for vegetarians and vegans who need to get enough protein in their diets.
- Low in calories: Tofu is a low-calorie food, which means you can eat a lot of it without worrying about consuming too many calories. This makes it a great choice for weight management and weight loss diets.
- Contains all nine essential amino acids: Tofu is a complete protein, which means it contains all nine essential amino acids that the body needs to function properly.
- Rich in vitamins and minerals: Tofu is a good source of several important vitamins and minerals, including calcium, iron, magnesium, and zinc. Calcium is especially important for bone health, and tofu is an excellent source of calcium for those who do not consume dairy products.
Ingredients
- 100g tofu
- 1tsp smoked paprika
- 1tbsp soy sauce
- 1tbsp sweet chilli sauce
- 1/2tsp garlic granules
- 1/2tsp onion granules
- drizzle of sriracha

Directions
Crumble in the tofu and cook for 5 minutes.
Then add the rest of the ingredients and give it all a good mix. Cook for a further 5 minutes until the tofu starts to get crispy.
On a tortilla wrap, add spinach leaves and the top with the cooked crispy tofu. Drizzle some Sriracha sauce for some extra kick.

See? Easy peasy. And the best part is, you won’t even miss the crispy chicken. Okay, maybe you’ll miss it a little bit, but crispy tofu is a pretty good substitute, and your body will thank you for it.
Plus, think of all the fun you can have with this. You can call it a “tofwrap,” or a “tofu-licious wrap,” or a “wrap-a-doo-doo-doo, tofu’s got it goin’ on.” Okay, maybe not that last one. But you get the idea.
So go ahead and try a crispy tofu wrap today. Your taste buds (and your waistline) will thank you!
