Beyond Burgers?
Have you heard of Beyond Burgers? They’re the latest craze in the world of plant-based eating, and for good reason. Beyond Burgers are a type of veggie burger that are made to look, cook, and taste like meat, but without any animal products. And whilst I prefer to make my own burgers, it sometimes is just preferable to have someone have done the work for you.
So, what exactly are Beyond Burgers made of? The main ingredient is pea protein, which provides the protein and texture that is similar to ground beef. They also contain beet juice, which gives them their signature “bleed” and makes them look like they’re cooked to the perfect medium-rare. Other ingredients include coconut oil, potato starch, and natural flavors.
One of the great things about Beyond Burgers is that they are a more sustainable and environmentally friendly option compared to traditional beef burgers. They require less land, water, and resources to produce, and they emit fewer greenhouse gases than beef. Plus, they’re 100% vegan and free of GMOs, soy, and gluten.
But the real test is in the taste. And let me tell you, Beyond Burgers do not disappoint. They have a juicy, meaty texture and a flavor that is remarkably similar to beef. They’re also incredibly versatile and can be cooked on the grill, stovetop, or oven, just like traditional burgers.
Beyond Burgers have also gained popularity in recent years as a healthier alternative to beef burgers. They contain no cholesterol and are lower in saturated fat than beef, making them a great option for anyone looking to reduce their intake of animal products or improve their overall health.
